The Berus set the stage at the Zénith de Paris on fire during a memorable concert in front of 6,800 people. The ticket cost fifty francs; to denounce the prohibitive prices of the concerts. Since the initial duo centered around François and Loran, the group has grown and has gradually begun a festive transformation while keeping the cold tension of their beginnings. He borrows elements from the circus on stage, mixing clown noses with their usual grotesque disguises, and on disc adding whistles and oriental instrumentation to police sirens, mixing punk destroy and the "brass band" atmosphere on the album. "Abracadaboum" appeared in 1987 and was a phenomenal success in France and Europe.

Bérurier noir became the spokesperson for part of the youth, notably with a variant of the title Porcherie, the chanted refrain of which became famous: “Youth fucks with the National Front! »
On April 20, 1988, the group was awarded the Bus d'Acier (a major French rock prize) by a press that had almost always ignored it. The group refuses the prize in a flash, but nevertheless leaves with the trophy which ends up "for a good year in the toolbox" of their tour truck.
