Johnny Clegg offered an unforgettable performance at the Zénith de Paris. He knew how to captivate his audience with his music mixing Zulu, pop rock and folk styles. Known for his political commitment against apartheid in the 80s, Johnny Clegg marked the history of music by defying taboos and advocating tolerance. That year, he presented his signature titles such as "Asimbonanga", a tribute to Nelson Mandela, and "Dela", a love song in the Zulu language.
That year, Johnny Clegg released the Billboard Music Award-winning album "Heat, Dust and Dreams" whose song "The Crossing" used in the 2009 film Invictus is dedicated to percussionist and dancer Dudu Zulu a was assassinated in 1992.
