This original vintage poster by Michel Polnareff is an iconic piece of musical history!
It announces the concert of the French variety and pop-rock artist of the 60s and 70s, on October 6, 1972 at the Olympia.
For the poster for this concert at the Olympia Michel had opted for an artistic direction inspired by his partner at the time, a dancer at Crazy Horse Paris, Stella Patchouli.
6000 copies will be posted in Paris…….and Polnareff attacked for indecent assault. He will then be ordered to pay ten francs per poster, i.e. a fine of 60,000 francs (about 9,000 euros) paid by his record company. The posters will not be removed but covered with a square of white paper ;)
A slightly expensive publicity stunt but the most beautiful effect, the poster is still cult and highly sought after.
