Smells - Baltard Pavilion - 1980

This authentic poster of Odeurs is one hell of a jewel of our cultural heritage!
It announces the concert of the French comedy rock group, formed by Ramon Pipin, on March 16, 1980 at the Pavillon Baltard

Ramon Pipin's Odeurs published the group's first album in 1979, whose cover designed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino has been copied many times. It will be a commercial success, selling more than 100,000 copies.
Surrounded by the nucleus of Guy Khalifa, Laurent de Gaspéris, Sharon Glory, Shitty, Clarabelle, Jean-Philippe Goude and Jean-Michel Kajdan, many musicians distinguished themselves there, such as François Auger and Didier Batard, Didier Lockwood, Gérard Manjouet, and Manu Katche. The song Dominique is revisited in disco mode and is performed by Sapho. Sharon Glory and actress Christine Pascal form the duo of Douce crème.

The album presents a collection of parodies (Douce crème for Serge Gainsbourg), re-writings (I Want to Hold Your Hand by the Beatles, a military song), or very accomplished pranks. The album ends with Le Vilain petit zoziau, recorded with a real children's choir (despite its text). The interviews surrounding the punk track Sex Bazooka were done without special effects, in the street.

Printed by IPA, this poster is an original vintage copy in excellent condition, it has never been glued and has been very well preserved.
