This authentic Sens Unik poster is a precious historical witness to music!
Printed in 1994, the poster promotes the album Chromatic, by the French-speaking Swiss rap group.
In 1994, Sens Unik decided to produce a concept album in which the themes of the songs are related to the chromatic palette of colors. The Parisian graffiti artist Lazoo, who had already proven himself in magazines like Rock'n'Folk, was hired by the label to design their covers.
The poster represents the interior of a ship - The red zone symbolizes the warlike part of the group (Pushing the concept, the group records the most assertive songs in completely red lighting by filtering all the lights in the studio), the green zone their natural side.
In the center the Flon district in Lausanne, mainly occupied at the time by artists' studios and music studios like that of the group.
In the foreground, the members of Sens Unik wear a logo on their uniform that recalls their name. On the right, on a footbridge, a graffiti artist is arrested by a policeman. Behind the group, walking a dog, Patrick Duvoisin, the sound engineer. In the background, a person calls 156, the vice number, from one of the tracks on the album. It is next to a poster of Couleur 3 radio which reminds us that Just One was a DJ there.
Just above, a poster cites the groups signed to the label, such as the French rapper Fabe or the live Hip-Hop group Silent Majority.
