This original vintage Woody Allen poster is a valuable piece of music history!
It announces the concert of the American film director and jazz lover, March 04, 1996- Olympia
Every Monday evening, Allen Stewart Konigsberg, aka Woody Allen, played clarinet in a traditional jazz ensemble at Michael's Pub on East 55th Street in Manhattan. And until that evening in 1996, he had never wanted to perform abroad. But on the heels of a first successful recording entitled "The Bunk Project", he played at the Olympia, the favorite room of his idol Sidney Bechet. This evening was marked by a passionate and dynamic interpretation on his part who knew how to carry his audience away with classic and modern jazz pieces.
